We hope you can join us for Babywearing Wellington’s 2015 April Slingmeet. Please note that this meet will be held on the second Friday of the month due to Good Friday falling on the first Friday.
Date and Time
From 10am-12pm on Friday 10th April 2015 in the guest room at The Southern Cross Bar and Restaurant – 39 Abel Smith St, Te Aro
At the meet we will run through some babywearing guidelines/safety tips and then there will be time to get advice, hire carriers, or catch up with fellow babywearers. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have about any aspect of babywearing and about any type of baby carrier. If we can’t answer your questions we can refer you to someone who can.
Baby carrier library
Babywearing Wellington members can hire baby carriers from our “library” for $5 per week. Our library includes stretchy wraps, woven wraps, mei tais, SSCs and ring slings. It only costs you $10 to become a member, and all proceeds go towards running and updating the library, and keeping our meetings running. We don’t always have the full library with us, so if you’d like to borrow or try out something in particular, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to bring it along.
Please return any carriers before or at the beginning of the meet.

More information about our carrier library, and about Babywearing Wellington, can be found on our blog https://babywearingwellington.org.nz/ and on our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/babywearingwellington
Bring your friends!
Our meetings are open to the public, so please feel free to invite anyone you think might be interested – friends, family, other mums and dads… you don’t have to have a baby to be a babywearing supporter! Buggies/strollers/prams etc all welcome – you don’t have to be babywearing to join in the fun.
Hope to see you there! The Babywearing Wellington team
– Sharing the wearing –
Please note: The Babywearing Wellington Committee is a voluntary group of people passionate about babywearing, but we are not necessarily experts on everything to do with babywearing. At slingmeets, we might not be able to get around to everyone, or have the wisdom within our group to assist with your problem. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have about all aspects of babywearing and about any type of baby carrier, but if you have a burning carrier question that really needs to be addressed at this slingmeet, it’d be great if you could message us prior to the meet and we will try our darndest to have the answer and/or carrier to hand. Thanks!
