We hope you can join us for Babywearing Wellington’s December Slingmeet.
From 10 am on Friday 5th of December
The Southern Cross Bar and Restaurant
39 Abel Smith St, Te Aro
(In the “Lounge”)
There is no topic for our December slingmeet. Just a chance to get advice, hire carriers, or catch up with fellow babywearers before the end of the year.
Please note the slight change of venue. As the Guest Room is booked out for Christmas functions we will be in the area to the right of the door as you enter the Southern Cross. This is a smaller and less child-friendly area than we usually have, but we will make it work as best we can.
As we have no slingmeets in January we will be offering extended hires. For the usual four week hire price you may keep the carrier until the end of January.
We’re also happy to answer any questions you may have about any aspect of babywearing and about any type of baby carrier.
Baby carrier library
Babywearing Wellington members can hire baby carriers from our “library” for $5 per week. Our library includes stretchy wraps, woven wraps, mei tais, SSCs and ring slings. It only costs you $10 to become a member, and all proceeds go towards running and updating the library, and keeping our meetings running.
We don’t always have the full library with us at Hutt meets, so if you’d like to borrow or try out something in particular, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to bring it along.
Want to know more?
More information about our carrier library, and about Babywearing Wellington, can be found on our blog https://babywearingwellington.org.nz/ and on our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/babywearingwellington
Bring your friends!
Our meetings are open to the public, so please feel free to invite anyone you think might be interested – friends, family, other mums and dads… you don’t have to have a baby to be a babywearing supporter!
Hope to see you there!
The Babywearing Wellington team
– Sharing the wearing –
Please note: The Babywearing Wellington Committee is a voluntary group of people passionate about babywearing, but we are not necessarily experts on everything to do with babywearing. At slingmeets, we might not be able to get around to everyone, or have the wisdom within our group to assist with your problem. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have about all aspects of babywearing and about any type of baby carrier, but if you have a burning carrier question that really needs to be addressed at this slingmeet, it’d be great if you could message us prior to the meet and we will try our darndest to have the answer and/or carrier to hand. Thanks!
